ABOUT YOUR BIOGRAPHY

A professional biography is a tremendous business tool to assist in positioning your brand to access opportunities.  It should contain all meaningful work and training history as well as providing an insight into your unique personality.

To help us position you in the best way possible and to capture your brand, please answer all questions with as much authenticity as possible. The more honest and comprehensive your responses, the better the biography will be.  Keep in mind that the tone in which you answer these questions will eventually be reflected in your biography, so please treat this document as you would your professional resume.  

It is critical that you include a significant amount of detail to your responses. A one or two word response is not a sufficient insight into your personality.  A good biography will give a clear picture as to the kind of person you are to a complete stranger. 


Don’t just “dot point” your skills.  Write your responses as if you were talking to a friend. Make sure your answers don't just cover the same ground. You only need to highlight each strength, passion or capability once.

For example: What are your key skills? 
BAD:    Marketing, Sales, Working with teams
GOOD:    I’m a passionate marketer with a strong background working in direct marketing, digital and social.  Having come from a sales background before moving into marketing later in my career, I’ve gained a unique understanding of the importance of ensuring sales and marketing strategies are aligned.  I love working in a team environment and also happy on my own. I love taking a leadership role and mentoring more junior team members. 


For each question, please use between 25 and 50 word (unless otherwise specified in the question)
Finally, although we are capturing the past, this biography is also designed to position you for the future, so think of what you aspire be, not just how you consider yourself today.
